Video conferencing is no doubt the most effective way to communicate in today’s business world, where we no longer need to have face-to-face meetings regularly with colleagues and clients. If we were to ask any working person which is the best video conferencing platform out there, then most of the time the answer would be just two: Microsoft Teams Malaysia and Zoom. Both Microsoft Teams Malaysia and Zoom offer fantastic solutions when it comes to virtual meetings, but which one has the edge? Find the differences here in this article.
While both are technically video conferencing platforms, what matters most when deciding between Zoom and Microsoft Teams is your list of priorities. Here is the primary distinction:
Zoom is primarily a tool for video conferences.
Microsoft Teams Malaysia is a single solution that incorporates team chat, video conferencing, and other productivity tools.
Productivity
Teams is an all-in-one application; therefore, it provides a fairly comprehensive collection of functions to boost productivity. Think of it as an integration of multiple apps like Google Docs, Slack, and Zoom. In all honesty, even more.
For example, users can make good use of its feature called Loop components. This feature allows you to set meeting action item lists when you’re in a meeting. That makes it easier for you to take notes and prioritize which one is more important. In order for everyone engaged to be able to track progress on the tasks, you may add due dates and send notifications to the appropriate people in the team chat.
I adore this function because I detest when meetings become disorganized. And Zoom doesn’t even come close to matching it in terms of features.
Both Zoom and Microsoft Teams Malaysia offer the fundamental components of a video conferencing program, such as video recording and transcripts, but Teams goes a step further with some integrated productivity features. For instance, with Teams, the audio recording is sent to everyone who was invited and stored in the meeting conversation window, making it simple to find without your intervention. Advanced Features
In terms of whiteboarding, Zoom has lately caught up with Teams (it even has great templates today), but since Teams is a comprehensive collaboration solution, it seems natural that their meeting tools for collaboration are quite sophisticated.
To begin with, Microsoft Teams Malaysia has significantly more chat features than Zoom. Emoji are available in Zoom chat, which is fantastic. But what if you want to give your perfectly professional coworkers GIFs or stickers instead? You may go above and above in Teams by creating custom stickers to point out individuals (be polite!), projects you’re actively chatting about, or both.
The nearest thing that Zoom has to this is their avatar tool, which allows you to make a personalized avatar of yourselves and place it over your video image. But to be really honest, we can’t imagine using this tool at a meeting because it’s a little unsettling. Although it wouldn’t be as efficient, you could accomplish a similar task in Zoom by utilizing a spreadsheet from Google or Google Docs.
Zoom and Microsoft Teams Malaysia have a somewhat robust screen-sharing feature. Both of them even provide distant screen control, which comes in handy for working together over the whiteboard or if somebody is experiencing technical difficulties during a meeting. A board member of ours had a tech phobia, so if she ever gave a presentation to the firm, someone would jump in and assist her with the slides, if necessary. Both applications include it, which is a really nice touch.

International Teams
For foreign teams, Microsoft Teams Malaysia and Zoom make excellent remote meeting solutions. However, Teams may offer tremendous value if your company is worldwide and needs to interact in a number of different languages.
Both Zoom and Teams provide artificial intelligence-powered real-time closed-captioning, but Teams also includes live interpretations in over 40 languages (premium only; only the organizer needs to upgrade to a premium account to use this function). In contrast, Zoom only supports 12 languages at the moment, and three of those are still in the beta stage.
A language interpreter can be assigned to provide real-time translation to specific teammates worldwide while the initial speaker remains muted (for those team members) in Teams. Language translation extends to the chat feature as well. To translate any messages sent by team members who speak a language other than English, simply right-click and choose Translate.
For example, you can collaborate with business partners in Japan, and occasionally a message in Japanese will reach a group channel. Now that it’s integrated into Teams, you no longer have to manually paste these conversations into Google Translation in order to make sure you don’t miss anything crucial. This function feels like a true game-changer as businesses become more global.

Larger Remote Meetings
Powerful video conferencing tools like Zoom and Microsoft Teams Malaysia are comparable in terms of video quality (both of which feature a high-definition version of 1080p resolution at 30fps, if that matters to you).
However, it’s generally acknowledged because Zoom tends to be superior at handling bigger meetings and at keeping participants on the conference even with a poor internet connection. And that makes logical sense: Zoom is devoted entirely to video conference calls, so it stands to reason that its streaming quality will be superior. Teams has to compromise on the quality of video or connection due to the number of other collaborative aspects it must balance.
This is also likely the reason why Teams only supports 300 users, but Zoom supports 1,000 users (on Enterprise or through the massive meeting add-on). To simplify what guests may see on-screen and maintain video quality, Zoom’s Focus mode feature lets meeting hosts select which videos appear during larger meetings. When we had company-wide updates, we really used to switch from Teams to Zoom because Teams couldn’t handle the large group very well.

So Teams or Zoom? The Verdict
It’s 3 to 1 for Microsoft Teams Malaysia based on these features described above. The answer is clear. If you just need excellent, high-definition video call software, then Zoom is the best choice. Other than that, Microsoft Teams Malaysia wins hands down. We have yet to touch on security issues, which Microsoft excels at. The article just focuses on the advanced features because a lot of people are not aware of what these two platforms can offer apart from video calls.
